ABOUT MYSELF
I am interested in applying techniques from machine learning to various real world problems which involve large amounts of data. Specifically, I am investigating the use of low rank approximations and sampling algorithms in speeding up and scaling various machine learning algorithms, like kernel machines and spectral clustering, These algorithms are then applied to different problems in Climate Informatics and Computer Vision.
CURRENT WORK
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Computer Science at the George Washington University. I work in the Machine Learning Group under the supervision of Dr. Claire Monteleoni. My research involves applying machine learning techniques to different application domains.
PAST WORK
Prior to my work in machine learning, I have worked on various problems in Robotics. It primarily involved the development of sampling based algorithms (based on the Particle Filter) to solve different problems like Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (SLAM), Navigation and Scan Correlation. During this time, I also worked on algorithms for surveillance using multiple aerial vehicles
